Day 1: Arrival, and Fort Kochi
You will be picked up by our chauffeur from Cochin International Airport. From here, you will be taken to Fort Kochi, where a lot of historical and cultural heritage resides. Your accommodation for the day would be in a resort with a traditional Kerala style building, having luxury encompassed in it. After freshening up, you can explore the narrow lanes of this beautiful place, head to the beach for a sunset, try out the various cuisines over here, and then get some much-needed rest after a travel day.
Day 2: Aleppey Houseboat
Have breakfast at your resort and then, you will be taken to Aleppey for the houseboat experience. It is a 1.5-hour drive to the houseboat dock. In the next 24 hours, you will be enjoying the beauty of the backwaters of Kerala, surrounded by the calmness of the area. The crew in the houseboat will cook amazing meals for you, and take you around showing the villages in the area, and an entirely different lifestyle of the locals. Enjoy the sunset from the boat, and also the overnight stay in it.
Day 3: Munnar
You will be dropped off at the boat jetty after breakfast, from where you will head out to Munnar. It is a 4-5 hour drive. After reaching there and checking in to our boutique resort in the middle of a tea estate, you could head out to a nearby dam, or even do a Kerala Ayurvedic Massage for yourself. You will also be given a customized tour of the resort property which has tea, cardamom, and pepper plantations. What better way to learn than seeing it and getting to know about it from the experts? It's quite a bit of sightseeing tomorrow so take good rest tonight.
Day 4: Munnar Sightseeing
Tea Museum, Top Station, and Jeep Safari Post breakfast, you will be taken to the Tea Museum where you will get to know the history of Munnar and how tea plantation started there, and a live demo of how tea leaves are made into tea dust, their quality, and the types of tea. Once you are done with this, you could either choose to continue the 1-hour drive to Top Station which is a viewpoint or just have lunch and head back to the resort. At 4 pm, you will be picked from the resort for an adventure jeep Safari, which will take you through hilly roads to interior villages and the mesmerizing Ripple waterfalls. Once done with the waterfalls, you will be taken to Ponmudi Dam and the echo point there. Spend enough time to enjoy the beauty of this place and next, you will be taken to one of the best sunset points in Munnar. Enjoy the sunset here with a warm cup of tea or coffee, and then, it is time to end the day back in the resort.
Day 5: Drive to Airport
Time to leave. These 5 days would have gone in a flash and you will be yearning for more. So promise that you will head back with more time in hand to explore more beautiful places in Kerala. The drive to the airport takes 3 hours so you can start from the resort as per your flight timings.
